Welcome back for another edition of Lost In Thoughts! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week. I’ve busy been working on a logo and business card design for a good friend (I promise to share when everything’s ready).
Summer officially started on Sunday, and one of the first things I did was buy a huge box of stawberries. I have been enjoying a breakfast of sliced stawberries in vanilla yogurt for the past few days. Yum! I like starting the day with a tasty treat like that; it sets a sweet tone for the rest of the day. Now, if the clouds would clear it would really feel like summer.
mini felted puppy by Emilie Friday
Isn’t this the most adorable thing? I found it while browsing around on Etsy. Emilie Friday’s shop is full of teeny tinies, like handmade wedding cake toppers. She also has a second shop dedicated to her gorgeous calligraphy. She does stamps and also hand-addresses envelopes (brides may be particularly interested). Such talent!
tutu by Karl Lagerfeld from FabSugar
Karl Lagerfeld (head-designer at Chanel) designed this dreamy tutu for Elena Glurdjidze (senior principal dancer of the English National Ballet). This series of photos almost makes me wish I’d been more committed to my ballet lessons in 5th grade. Wouldn’t it be fun if your job involved wearing beautiful tutus? She looks like she could float away on a cloud. Maybe that’s because this costume is made of over 2,500 feathers! Dying to see more? I know I was. Click here to see Lagerfeld’s stunning video of Glurdjidze dancing a seemingly impromtu performance at Chanel.
Little Man is about 11 minutes long, but it’s worth your time. It’s a Danish short, and it’s completely charming. Completely. A young boy decides to write a school essay about girls. His conclusions are reflective of his research, which proves challenging. Great kid actors, too. This video has been taken down from YouTube twice, so if the video won’t play, try this link instead. (Special thanks to my IT Angel/Ninja, James, for tweeting about this.)
Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to come back again tomorrow, because I’ll be introducing two more cards to the shop. I also added two yesterday: scattered hearts and garbanzo bean.
Have a lovely week. ♥
