You guys. I. Love. Halloween. It is the best! Loads of candy, costumes, and fun, fun, fun! And ORANGE! I’ve got more than usual for you today, because I’ve been rounding things up for about a month and I had absolutely no desire to weed anything out!

Needle Felted Wee Pumpkins from Moondogfarm’s Etsy shop
There’s no better way to start a Halloween post than with a punch of orange. These little pumpkins are totally adorable and the colors make me swoon. What would you do with one of these little guys?
Pumpkin Playsuit from I’m Your Present’s Etsy shop
I don’t think I could pull off this little number, but it is super cute. I think the collar really makes this outfit work (I’m channeling Tim Gunn here). Tell me, would you wear this?
Square Spider Hook Earrings from Alex Metal Arts’ Etsy shop
Oooh. A little spooky, a little awesome. They’re just gorgeous, and if you like spiders you could probably wear these earrings year round.
Molly Flannel Platform Peep Toes from J. Crew
Now these are shoes. They’re a delicious shade of pumpkin that would easily compliment jeans or a skirt. Lovely, lovely. [via dress design decor]
Halloween Candy Buffet by Amy Atlas
What’s Halloween without a boatload of candy? (Answer: stupid.) Amy Atlas makes candy look like art. Looks too good to eat, doesn’t it? It’s all so perfectly arranged and yummy.
Max Suit from Opening Ceremony
If I had an extra $610 laying around, I might just drop it on these Max-inspired pajamas. So slouchy and soft and Sendak-y. (I loved the movie, by the way.)
Spring Chicken Costume from Martha Stewart
If I had a baby, this is what he/she would be wearing on the 31st. I’ve actually been holding on to this picture since LAST Halloween. That’s how much I love this costume! So fluffy and the feet, oh the feet! So cute!
Hocus Pocus was one of my favorite movies when I was little (let’s be honest, I still love it). What’s you favorite Halloween movie?
A note about costumes: My mom is amazing. She helped me (a lot) with my costume this year, and it reminded me of when I was little. I never once wore a store-bought costume. Every year she’d ask my siblings and me what we wanted to be for Halloween and then she’d make it happen. Some of my favorite costumes include: princess, dalmatian (I liked this one so much I wore it at least twice, maybe thrice), piggy bank, bumble bee, and Dorothy. Last year I made my own frog princess costume, and also outfitted my boyfriend as a gnome. We looked great! Next week I’ll share pictures of us in this year’s costumes. I’m hoping you’ll share too! What are you going to be? What was your best costume ever? What’s your favorite candy? Do you watch scary movies all October? Share in the comments!

Lost In Thoughts is a weekly series. I started this feature because I’m inspired by the amazing things I see on blogs and Etsy, and by family, friends, readers’ comments, and life. I don’t want to keep all of these wonderful finds to myself, so I gather them together on Thursdays to share with you.

I love Hocus Pocus too! Made Marcel watch it the other night. He didn’t want to watch, but you know what they say, “Happy wife, happy life!”
I love your Halloween picks. Great pumpkin suit, and thank you for including my spider earrings!
You’re welcome! They fit right in here; they’re wonderful.
LOL I knew it was from you without this clarification. You’re too funny.
I watched part of it last Saturday. But we left in the middle (just after the song, actually!) to go see Where The Wild Things Are, which was a-maze-ing!
wow – I am not a shoe freak, but those shoes + skinny jeans=!
thanks for posting the max wolf suit pj’s; as it happens I do not have an extra $700 lying around(don’t forget the tax), but I do have a furry bedspread, whose days are now numbered!
Those earrings, the little pumpkins-who doesn’t love halloween? That candy buffet immediately made me envision it being swarmed by a dressed up army of little monsters, leaving just shattered ruins in their wake. If you have ever heard the original Screamin’ J Hawkins “I Put a Spell On You, well you might get a tad scared for real.
Oh yeah – remember the time Emzy ran around the kitchen with pot-holders on her feet doing a perfect chicken imitation?? Laughed till I cried.
Of course I remember the pot-holder chicken imitation — it could be why i like this costume so much!
