heart made of origami cranes

Recently, a woman saw my paper crane mobiles in my Etsy shop, and thought I might be able to help her with an idea. After learning a little more about what she had in mind, I decided to take the project.

::The Project::
This piece was commissioned as a wedding gift. It consists of red paper cranes attached to a high quality sheet of white paper in the shape of a heart.

This looks awesome. How long did that take you?

i know! it’s a cool idea. i’d never heard of anything like it before, so i had to make it up as i went.

it took a few days. i had to find a frame, paper, etc. the paper i used it isn’t origami paper, so i had to cut it all down to size, fold the cranes, and then attach them to the white paper. folding was a few hours, but i watched movies and tv. the attaching it to the paper was the tricky part, since i’d never done anything like that before.

DId you use regular glue?

Thanks, Paola! I used an archival adhesive for this project.
