I designed these thank you notes for Areej + Uzair. After their wedding, they sent these notes to guests.

This is the sweetest couple, so I had a lot of fun creating this pretty card for them. I tied in some of the colors from their wedding, and I love how bright and cheerful these are.

I’m wishing Areej + Uzair many, many happy years together!

custom design: birthday card for google forums

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

I recently designed this birthday card for Google Forums. There is a forum for each of Google’s products so that users can get their questions answered and share their experiences using the product. This year marks the 1 year anniversary (or birthday) of a few of the forums. Google will be sending these cards to the users who have been the most helpful within the forums to say thank you.

Google Forums are used in countries around the world; we wanted to embrace that, so Happy Birthday! is featured in 25 languages. The pyramid in the center of the card is the Google Forums logo, which was designed at some point last year by another designer. I’m quite pleased with the way the design turned out, and it was certainly an exciting project!

The Details
★ Folded card
★ White envelope
★ Size A2 (4 ¼” x 5 ½”)
★ Printed locally on 100% recycled paper

Thanks Google! :)

custom design: appointment postcards for dr. forman

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

I designed this appointment postcards for Dr. Forman, a local dentist. He had a very clear idea about what he wanted, and I enjoyed collaborating with him and making his vision come to life.

I made the dental floss swoop into a “smile” and I changed the buttons on the phone so they’d look like dental tools (toothpick, toothbrush, toothpaste, & dental mirror). I really like the gentle reminder on the back that you “better start flossing now.” Ha!

personalized stationery: ellie

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

I had such fun with this design. Ellie is a newborn, and I worked with her mom, Maura, to create monogrammed stationery for her.

Maura liked the stationery I designed for Margot, so I used that as a jumping-off point.

She also knew that she wanted to use pink and navy blue in the monogram.

The cards measure 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (A2).

We also printed a matching return address on the back flap of the envelopes (not shown).

Thank you Maura, it was a pleasure to work with you!

custom design: thank you postcards for tekdoc

Monday, September 21st, 2009

TekDoc is a computer repair company based in Lexington, MA, and they serve the Greater Boston area. They get a lot of referrals, and they were interested in cards to thank their clients for spreading the word. While I was thinking about their goals, I thought postcards would be a great option for them. I came up with a few options, and they chose 3 different designs, so they could have a variety.

thank-you-purple+white

For this design, I incorporated the deep purple from the TekDoc logo. It’s simple, but makes a statement.

thank-you-smiley

This smiley face has computer written all over it, which is totally appropriate for an IT company!

thank-you-repeating

For the third card I used the font and colors of their logo to make a repeating pattern.

thank-you-combo

Here you can see all 3 designs at once. I think they look good together!

thank-you-back

The backs of all the postcards are the same, and feature their logo, tagline, website, and phone number. There’s also space to address the postcard and write the thank you message.

personalized stationery: margot

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

I just shipped this personalized stationery yesterday. It was commissioned as a gift for Margot, a resident of  lovely Martha’s Vineyard.

2009-08-11 004_edit

Many of the homes on the Vineyard have names, and Margot lives in one called Seventh Heaven. The font used on the front of the card replicates the sign on the front of her house.

The color palette also matches the sign that hangs over her front door, and the seashell design captures the beachy lifestyle.

Margot’s name and address are found on the inside of the card.

The last photo shows the back of the card. Below the Everything Little Miss logo, I’ve personalized the stationery line so people will know it was designed just for Margot.

custom design: thank you notes

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

I was recently asked to create some thank you notes for a couple as a surprise wedding gift. I looked at the couple’s wedding invitation before beginning, and went from there.

2009-07-07 125_edit

I used their color scheme, but I didn’t want to simply replicate their invite. I chose a shimmery ivory paper to add some sparkle and panache. The envelopes add a dash of color to the mix.

We had 100 notes printed, and my client asked that I tie them with ribbon. I used a thin, brown satin ribbon, and separated them into groups of 10. They looked very pretty all stacked together.

I’m happy with the way they turned out, and I hope the couple enjoys the thoughtful gift!
