Hi April- Thank you so much for including me in this post! I really enjoy seeing what inspires designers! I love that Ferris Bueller quote- I used to watch that movie every time I was home sick as a kid. Great movie!

April,

It was an absolute treat to be included in your new series! The very best part of blogging for me is seeing how something I’ve written impacts someone else so I really appreciate how you shared the section of the speech that spoke to you.

This is an excellent series and I’m so excited for the ones that are yet to come.

Jess

P.S. Love the quirky couple, great find!

stop motion animation with stikfas

I made this video in 2006 and just rediscovered it this morning. I was inspired by John Mayer’s cover of Bold As Love. I thought it would be fun to share some of the other work I’ve done!

Nice work! I just wrote a blog post all about Stikfas, and stop-motion animation, plus all the cool things people do with the figures, like webcomics or miniature photography. It’s pretty amazing how creative people are.

note card sets coming soon

In the near future I will be offering a few new note card sets. Each set will consist of 12 cards (3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″) & envelopes. A photo of the underside of the Eiffel Tower inspired the pattern of one of the new sets: This Oxalis Triangularis plant was another inspiration: I’ll let you know when…
