lost in thoughts #40

Back again to share some inspiration with you. I think the theme today is eye-catching color. 2010 wall calendar from vanhoosedesign’s Etsy shop Oooh! Would you check out all that color. This calendar would brighten up your work space, don’t you think? I especially like the way the colors coordinate with the seasons. Audrey in the Autumn…

lost in thoughts #36

Hey there. As I was collecting ideas for today’s inspiration post, I happened upon a number of things that struck me as bold and beautiful (now I’m thinking about a soap opera that I’ve never seen!). These are statement pieces. Double Breasted Wool Olga Coat from Red Doll’s Etsy shop Oh goodness. Please, can I…

i know! i love it.

that typewriter is to die for and i love that it says ‘valentine’!

Jess, I know! I was so disappointed when I found out that the typewriter had been sold, but it was WAY out of my price range anyway. At least I can look at the pretty picture. :)

Thanks for imagining with me! Isn’t is a great way to spend some time (even if you are sick)?

What an amazing collection of finds April! I am DROOOOOOOLING over that typewriter which is sold, puff, gone now. I love your little reverie too.

I am imagining myself full of energy and good health in a tidy home cheerfully baking, cooking, and wrapping all my purchased gifts. In other words, the complete opposite of my reality! (sick, in bed, not a single thing purchased yet).

It’s Thursday again, so that means it’s inspiration time! I’ve got some wonderful handmade finds for you this week. felt mounted moose head from PlanetFur’s Etsy shop Normally I wouldn’t consider hanging an animal head on my wall because I’d be creeped out, but this felt moose is another story! Cute, soft and friendly, I…

Love that tee, it’s rad. The green heart on the moose is darling. I’m going to watch the video now. :)

You’re very welcome; you’ve got beautiful stuff in your shop. And thank you so much for your kind words. :)

Wow, thank you so much for featuring my moose head! Good luck on your blog, it’s beautiful! All the best, Marlous

halloween 2009: little red riding hood

I was really looking forward to Halloween this year (as usual). Well, as you know, yesterday was the big day. It was great! I was Little Red Riding Hood, and I am completely in love with my cape! My mom made it for me out of some red velvet curtains she salvaged. It’s gorgeous. For…

That cape too snazzy. I want one to wear to the grocery store. Just because.

My Mom also assisted with (aka=made) my costume of a cupcake. And I passed out cupcakes. It was the most fun!

You guys. I. Love. Halloween. It is the best! Loads of candy, costumes, and fun, fun, fun! And ORANGE! I’ve got more than usual for you today, because I’ve been rounding things up for about a month and I had absolutely no desire to weed anything out! Needle Felted Wee Pumpkins from Moondogfarm’s Etsy shop…

Of course I remember the pot-holder chicken imitation — it could be why i like this costume so much! :)

babzy

wow – I am not a shoe freak, but those shoes + skinny jeans=!
thanks for posting the max wolf suit pj’s; as it happens I do not have an extra $700 lying around(don’t forget the tax), but I do have a furry bedspread, whose days are now numbered!
Those earrings, the little pumpkins-who doesn’t love halloween? That candy buffet immediately made me envision it being swarmed by a dressed up army of little monsters, leaving just shattered ruins in their wake. If you have ever heard the original Screamin’ J Hawkins “I Put a Spell On You, well you might get a tad scared for real.
Oh yeah – remember the time Emzy ran around the kitchen with pot-holders on her feet doing a perfect chicken imitation?? Laughed till I cried.

I watched part of it last Saturday. But we left in the middle (just after the song, actually!) to go see Where The Wild Things Are, which was a-maze-ing!

LOL I knew it was from you without this clarification. You’re too funny.

You’re welcome! They fit right in here; they’re wonderful. :)

I love your Halloween picks. Great pumpkin suit, and thank you for including my spider earrings!

I love Hocus Pocus too! Made Marcel watch it the other night. He didn’t want to watch, but you know what they say, “Happy wife, happy life!”
