stop motion animation with stikfas

I made this video in 2006 and just rediscovered it this morning. I was inspired by John Mayer’s cover of Bold As Love. I thought it would be fun to share some of the other work I’ve done!

Nice work! I just wrote a blog post all about Stikfas, and stop-motion animation, plus all the cool things people do with the figures, like webcomics or miniature photography. It’s pretty amazing how creative people are.

note card sets coming soon

In the near future I will be offering a few new note card sets. Each set will consist of 12 cards (3 1/2″ x 4 7/8″) & envelopes.

A photo of the underside of the Eiffel Tower inspired the pattern of one of the new sets:

This Oxalis Triangularis plant was another inspiration:

I’ll let you know when the new cards (including two new sets of thank you notes) are available!

Have a great Friday the 13th.

website update

Hello, hello!

I spent the day re-vamping the website. I’ve created a static homepage (previously this blog was the homepage), which you can see below. I also changed the images on most of the static pages, in an effort to make everything more cohesive. I hope you like the changes. Don’t forget to come back often to check out the blog and see new products. You can also subscribe in a reader, if you want instant updates about Everything Little Miss

cards: flat vs folded

I love flat cards, and I offer a few different designs in my Etsy shop.

Q: What is a flat card?
A: It’s a card that’s flat (haha). Joking aside, it’s a card which has the writing area on the front, since there is no inside. There’s generally a design or text at the top or bottom of the card, and the rest is free for your handwritten note. Like other cards, these can be either vertical or horizontal. I’ve photographed my newest flat card from a few angles so you can see just how flat it really is.

As of today, I also offer folded cards in my Etsy shop.

Q: What is a folded card?
A: Folded cards are more traditional. They have a design and/or text on the cover, and space for a personal note on the inside. Below you can see my brand new folded card:
